5 Steps for businesses to get connected to solar PV
Rebate
Eligible business owners can access a rebate to cover up to 50% of the cost of a rooftop Solar PV System.
The total rebate is capped at 50% or a maximum of $3,500.
Eligibility Criteria
Victorian business owners are eligible to receive the rebate if they meet the following criteria:
- Be the owner of a business that employs at least one person, not including the business owner, and less than 50 full-time equivalent employees.
- Operate from premises that are non-residential.
- Operate from premises that are individually metered.
- Have not previously received a Solar for Business rebate.
- Solar Victoria approved solar retailer, like ABS.
- Install a solar system with an inverter capacity size up to 30kW.
*Interest Free Loan
To further reduce the upfront cost of installing Solar, the Solar for Business Program offers the option of an interest-free loan:
- the loan amount is based on the quote provided to Solar Victoria
- loans start from $1,000 up to a maximum amount of $5,000
- option of paying the loan back over 12 or 24 months or can be repaid sooner in one lump sum.
*The benefit of the interest free loan is that you can pay back the loan using the significant savings achieved by reducing power bills.
